Sire:  Van Gogh,   (Numero Uno, Pref  -  Bernstein  -  Burggraaf, Pref)

This son of Numero Uno was not only rewarded for his great jumping skills but also his fantastic movement.  The dam line of Van Gogh produced many International showjumping and dressage horses.  Out of his first years we find numerous horses successful in 1.60mt GP showjumping as well as Grand Prix dressage.  Especially worth mentioning is the gelding Cosmo (Van Gogh x Fruhling), one of the most talented dressage horses in the world and gold medal winner of the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games.  Successful 1.60mt showjumpers by Van Gogh are among others Bella Brown (sm. Gran Corrado), Dalton (sm. Naturel), Le Vio (sm. Drosselklang) and Fabio (sm. Celano) who recently won the World Cup GP at Guadalajara, Mexico.

Van Gogh, who has been part of the German Championship team for years was successful in many International Shows and Nations Cups under the saddle of Marco Kutscher, winning among others the GCT in Valkenswaard, the EEM LA Masters, the EEM Hong Kong Masters and the Zurich Championship.

DamSire:  Sjapoo,   (Caretino  -  Come On  -  Libero H)

Sjapoo is a strong moving and very active jumping athlete with a fine technique.  Hats off to the pedigree for this sporty son of Caretino.  His sire can be included in the young generation of top sires in Holstein.

Come On, the very powerful son of Cantus, is combined with Kalinka, the full sister of Liberty.   Liberty represented the American team in the Sydney Olympics under Laura Kraut and won, among other things the Palm Beach Grand Prix.   The International show jumper Molca's Candlelight (sire Katell xx) is out of the Nimmerdor mare Bianca.

2nd DamSire:  Calvados    (Uriel  -  Ibrahim  -  Hornet xx)

The ‘keur’ awarded sire Calvados is bred from the best French performance bloodlines.  His sire Uriel has been leading sire for several years (index 211, the highest index figure ever in France).  Uriel contributed to French breeding through 26 sons and he produced more than 100 international showjumpers!!  His dam Gold Rose (index 186!) was as a 3 year old French Conformation Champion and she was in the French Showjumping Team from 1979 until 1982, during which time she won for example the Grand Prix of Paris and Madrid and became second in Lisbon, Barcelona and Hamburg.  Her total winnings were Frs.. 621.000,--.  In addition Gold Rose produced two sons, that both became approved stallions Turban Rose in Sweden and Sable Rose (=Calvados) in Holland.  Gold Rose was sired by the great showjumper producer Ibrahim with 36 approved sons in France, including the legendary Alme.  Granddam of Calvados was the unique mare Jolie Rose, who became very famous by producing 6 international showjumpers including:  All Rose, Dall Rose, Gold Rose, La Rose II.  She also produced the approved stallions Irminio and Joly Jumper.  Calvados as a 4 year old won the National Stallion Competition. In 1992 Calvados as an 8 year old claimed a deserved 7th place in the Dutch Championship with Peter Geerink.

The next year they were Reserve Champion of the Netherlands and won the Grand Prix of Tjele in Denmark, 3rd Grand Prix of Drammen, 5th Grand Prix of Falsterbro, 2nd Grand Prix of Spangenberg, 4th Grand Prix of Geesteren and winner of the Stallion Competition at 's-Hertogenbosch.  Although Calvados has bred on a very limited scale, he has many international offspring jumping at Grand Prix level, e.g. Macanudo’s Deniro (Peter Wylde), Royal Future (Allison Firestone), Royal Love (Susanne Behring), Harmonie (Leon Thijssen), Iwan II (Mark Armstrong), Illussion (Tani Tops) and Silber Bird (Markus Beerbaum).  Calvados is one of the few stallions who has earned his predicate.  He has this to thank from his above mentioned, world famous children, who won Grand Prix and World Cups. Calvados produced the reserve champion of the IAN-trophy and a lot of offspring scored high marks in their mare tests, IBOP’s and foal auctions. T he jumping index of Calvados is extremely high with 152 points.  Calvados produced the highest percentage Ster mares in 2003.
