Pedigree Details

Sire:  Mermus R,  (Burggraaf, Pref  -  Ramiro Z, Pref  -  Joost, Pref)

Mermus R is a son of Burggraaf from the famous Dutch Dermie stock.  His sire Burggraaf himself jumped Internationally.   In showjumper breeding globally, Burggraaf is one of the most successful producers of showjumpers.  As well as this, Burggraaf is worldwide represented by more than thirty approved sons.  Mermus R was bred by Stal Roelofs out of the ‘preferent’ mare Dwermie.  In combination with Calido I, Dwermie also foaled the approved stallion Odermus R.  Mermus R’s dam line goes back via the successful formula Hoost x Abgar xx, going back through the hallmark stallions Rigoletto and Jubal to an original Gronimgen family.  From this prestigious line too come the showjumpers Toys R Us (Cartino), Harald II (Purioso) as well as the approved  stallions Zandigo and Germus R, Tolan R and Nathos R.  Mermus R completed an outstanding talent test with good basic paces, which included an impressive canter (8.5); for take-off, technique and power he scored consecutively 8.5, 8 and 9.  Mermus R is noticeable for handing down his qualities; from his first collection of foals, his son Sam R has been licensed by the KWPN.  The Zangersheide-licensed Rubert R finished in eighth and seventh place in the 2003 and  2005 World Championships in the categories five and seven year olds, respectively, and is presently performing  at 1.60 mt level under Ben Schroder.  Also the mare Coco Loco R and the International showjumping horses Ramazotti and Sjoerd are drawing attention abroad.
