Pedigree Details

Sire:  Numero Uno,  Pref   (Libero H  -  Lord Calando  -  Ahorn Z)

Numero Uno completed his performance test triumphantly: he received a 9.0 for canter and scored an average of 8.5 for jumping components.   His explosive take-off earned him 9.0 points.

Dam Jolanda, like the Olympic showjumping stallion Lux, descends from Lord Calando.  Grand dam Feinschnit (Ahorn hann) supplied, in combination with Gondelier, the national showjumping horse Kapitol, who as a five-year-old gave an excellent performance in the World Championships for young horses at Lanaken.  The mother line continues via the well known stallion Farnese to the mare Fernsicht (Ladykiller xx), who is a full sister to the reputable stallion Lorenz.  This famous Holstein lineage, which is registered under number 429, also produced the stallions Aldato (Anblick xx), Heidelberg (Ladykiller xx) and Benedictus (Benvenuto xx).

After a successful show jumping career with European Champion Marco Kutscher, Numero Uno today has turned out to be one of the leading sires in the world.  Numero Uno, father to six approved KWPN stallions, is sire to many champions in international show jumping, ability tests and stallion approvals.

DamSire:  Caretino    (Caletto II  -  Metellus  -  Aldato)

Caretino was one of just seven stallions by Caletto II in Holsteiner breeding.  The bay revealed his qualities already in the stallion performance test, where he received a jumping index as high as 145 points.  He won numerous young jumper classes due to his outstanding jumping technique.  At 5 and at 6 years old, Caretino participated in the Bundeschampionate under Thomas Schöning.  Bo Kristoffersen got the ride on him a year later and got him started at Grand Prixs and Nations Cup level.  The two of them have 40 placings at S level to their name.  Then Caretino went to Ludger Beerbaum's stable.  The rider from Riesenbeck placed at Neumünster, Balve, and Wiesbaden with the stallion.  After a year, Caretino returned to Holstein to be used for breeding only which soon proved the right decision. Caretino offspring, still much sought after, have earned more than 3 million Euros so far.

Just now, the most successful Caretino offspring in competition is Casall la Silla out of a Lavall I dam.  Under Rolf-Göran Bengstsson, the 12 year old bay is rated among the top show jumpers in the world.  Moreover, he has also earned himself a stellar reputation as a sire. In 2009, his son Catch It became Champion stallion of the Holsteiner approval and sold for a record 450000 Euro to Denmark.  Casall has produced as much as seven stallion sons in Holsteiner breeding and also had the champion mare at the Elmshorn anniversary show in 2008.

Caretino sired 37 sons licensed for Holsteiner breeding, 41 daughters have been awarded a state premium, 10 a Verband premium.

2nd DamSire:  N-Aldato    (Nimmerdor  -  Ladykiller xx  -  Aldato)

N. Aldato is a son of jumping sensation Nimmerdor, out of a mare by fabled Ladykiller xx.  This close-up blood of Ladykiller xx is getting harder to find, and is insurance for exceptional jumping ability.   N. Aldato won the Golden Equippe-medal EK 1991 la Baule and the Nations tournament in Aachen, 1991.   He was second place in the Volvo World Cup in Antwerp, 1991 and qualified in several Grand Prix competitions such as Wiesbaden, Mondorf les Bains, Lanaken and Geneve.   N. Aldato was second Indoor Trophy for Breeding Stallions Mechelen, 1992.   He placed third during Grand Prix Ankara 1994 and third in the Grand Prix Austrian Open, 1994.   During his international career, N. Aldato has won Dfl.160.000.   His descendants are phenomenal jumpers.
